Keratin Smoothing VS. Chemical Straightening
Chemical straightening is the only way to get hair deadpan straight. It tends to be quite harsh and drying on the hair and is a process that either needs to be maintained every few months by have the new hair growth re-done or grows out leaving straight ends and curl at the root…(not a good look)as you can imagine.
Keratin Smoothing is just that…a smoothing process that lessens the frizz and relaxes the curl. In most cases it will NOT give you deadpan flat straight hair. What it will do is reduce the frizz,bulk and relax the curl to make it more manageable and faster to straighten with your straighteners, saving time. It will also allow you to scrunch your curl back in if you choose to wear it curly for a day. The more often the treatment is repeated (about every 3 month) the better the result.
